Why Study Catholic Studies?
The mission of Catholic Studies is to share "the rich experience of the Church's own culture," assist students in their spiritual as well as their intellectual development, and establish Aquinas College as the regional center for Catholic intellectual and creative life (Ex Corde Ecclesiae, § 43).
Students in the Catholic Studies Department will graduate with a broad knowledge of the history of Christianity, the spirit of the Catholic vision and tradition, the Catholic imagination in literature, and the Catholic intellectual tradition. More from Catholic studies
Pope Francis led with humility, compassion, a profound commitment to the dignity of every person, and the stewardship of our common home. We are excited to announce that Aquinas College will host numerous intellectual programs in celebration of the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope. Prayer Night is a new student-led º£½ÇÉçÇø tradition, which joins around 40 students in prayer. The planning will result in a seven-year road map to guide the college, which already has an advanced and highly regarded sustainability program, towards an even more sustainable future of care for the earth and humanity.
